  • Will my Goodbye detergent! scrubs scratch my stuff?

  • If you are unsure, we suggest to try on an inconspicuous area first since all materials can vary. For most metal cookware, we suggest using the Coarse Original Spaghetti Scrub, though you may want to use a gentler scrub on high-polished items. For most other items, including glass, plastics, wood, etc, we suggest to use the Gentle Original Spaghetti Scrub. The Heavy Duty Kitchen pad is comparable to steel wool in strength. The Hard and Heavy Duty Outdoor Scrubs are especially coarse and will scratch certain surfaces, so make sure to test them first.
  • How long will my scrub last before I need to replace it?

  • There is no time frame that we can guarantee because everyone will use their scrubs differently and with different frequency. On average, Original Spaghetti Scrubs will last 3-6 months. All scrubs are reusable and need to be replaced when you feel there isn’t any abrasive left or the effectiveness has faded.
  • How can I disinfect my Original Spaghetti scrubs?

  • You can heat them in the microwave for 10 seconds, or put them on the top rack of the dishwasher.
  • How did you get your Original Spaghetti Scrubs so curly?

  • They are flat out of the box, but they get softer and curlier with each use.
  • How do I dry or store my scrubs?

  • For the Original Spaghetti Scrubs, we suggest to hang them on the faucet to let them dry completely. All other scrubs should also be air-dryed to limit any mold before storing away from sunlight.
  • Do you really not need any soap?

  • For most basic cleaning jobs, soap isn’t needed. However, we do recommend to use a little soap when tackling grease or oil.
  • What if I want to use soap, detergents, or cleaners with my scrubs?

  • You can, but we recommend that you only use a little bit of soap, because one dab goes a long way. The Original Spaghetti Scrubs get extremely soapy and stay soapy. The Kitchen Pads and Outdoor Pads can also be used with cleaners, though it’s not needed for most small jobs.
  • Are these scrubs biodegradable?

  • No, they are partially made from non-woven nylon or other material that are not fully biodegradable. These materials are used to make each scrub more durable and last much longer.
  • Can I recycle the packaging?

  • Yes, all Goodbye Detergent! boxes are made from recycled materials and are recyclable.
  • Who designed Goodbye detergent! scrubs, and where are they made?

  • This line of eco-friendly scrubs was designed by Hiroki Hayashi, an industrial
designer from Japan. All products are made in Japan.
